本儀器參照QB/T3703-99《紙漿實驗室紙頁的制備常規紙頁成型器法》和ISO5269/1-79《紙漿-物理試驗用實驗室紙張的制備》第一部份——常規紙頁成型法。用於制備測試物理性能用的手抄紙頁，適用於大部份漿種，不適合於某些較長纖維的漿。
儀器的壓力，抄紙等均由電氣控制、自動化程度高、性能穩定、便於操作。
