該儀器採用熱解重量原理設計，是一種快速的水分檢測儀器。水分測定儀在測量樣品重量的同時，紅外加熱單元和水分蒸發通道快速幹燥樣品，在幹燥過程中，水分儀持續測量並即時顯示樣品丟失的水分含量%，幹燥程序完成後，終測定的水分含量值被鎖定顯示。與國際烘箱加熱法相比，紅外加熱可以短時間內達到大加熱功率，在高溫下樣品快速被幹燥，其檢測結果與國標烘箱法具有良好的一致性,具有可替代性,且檢測效率遠遠高於烘箱法。一般樣品只需幾分鐘即可完成測定。且操作簡單，測試準確，顯示部分採用紅色數碼管，分別可顯示水分值、樣品初值、終值、測定時間、溫度初值、終值等數據，清晰可見。並具有與計算機，打印機連接功能。該水分儀可廣泛應用於需要快速測定水分的行業，如塑膠、橡膠、化工、醫藥、食品、等行業中的生產過與實驗過程中。
