本儀器廣泛應用於造紙、印刷、紡織印染、陶瓷搪瓷、建材、化工、糧食、制鹽等行業，主要用來測定物體的白度、黃度、顏色和色差，測定紙的（不）透明度、光散射係數、光吸收係數和油墨吸收值。 模擬D65照明體照明。採用CIE 1964補充色度係統和CIE 1976（L*a*b*）色空間色差公式。採用d/o照明觀測幾何條件。漫射球直徑150mm，測試孔直徑25mm，設有光吸收器，試樣鏡面反射光的影響。本儀器符合GB 7973、GB 7974、GB 7975、ISO 2470、GB 3979、ISO 2471、GB 10339、GB 12911、GB 2409等。
