C911B108 Encoder Module Overview

The C911B108 encoder module is a sensor used to measure the angular position and rotation speed of a rotating shaft. It is usually used with mechanical systems such as motors and reducers. This encoder module is a photoelectric encoder module that can convert the rotational motion of the rotating shaft into an electrical signal and output the corresponding pulse signal through the RS422 or RS485 interface. It has the advantages of high precision, high reliability, long life, etc., and is suitable for automated production lines, robots, precision processing equipment and other occasions that require accurate measurement of the position and speed of a rotating axis.

Working principle of C911B108 encoder module

The C911B108 encoder module consists of a photoelectric code disk, a light source, a photosensitive element and a signal processing circuit. When the rotating shaft drives the photoelectric code wheel to rotate, the light emitted by the light source passes through the light-transmitting area and the light-shielding area on the code wheel and alternately illuminates the photosensitive element. The photosensitive element converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, and after being processed by the signal processing circuit, a corresponding pulse signal is output. There are two types of modules: incremental encoders and absolute encoders. The incremental encoder calculates the rotation angle by outputting the number of pulses, while the absolute encoder outputs the code value of each position, which can accurately measure the rotation angle.
