HE-3-1/8-QS-6RO反滲透濾膜可過濾鹽，勢必導致濃水和產水含鹽量濃度差異巨大，這樣濃水中的水要進入產水中克服滲透壓，因此錯流過濾的過濾壓力一般較大，而且相同給水水質條件下，工作壓力越高的反滲透膜一般脫鹽率越高，水質越好。從錯流過濾原理圖可知，原水中的截留物質（如反滲透濾膜中的鹽）在濾膜表面被截留，因此濾膜表面截留物濃度高，離膜表面距離越遠，相對截留物濃度低一些，從而形成濃差極化，導致實際的產水通量和脫鹽率低於理論估算值。
