system maintenance
(1) Regularly inspect the power supply of the DCS system, and conduct regular switching experiments for redundant power supply systems. At the same time, regular switching checks should be conducted on the UPS power supply, and the battery should be discharged and charged regularly according to requirements.
(2) Regularly check whether the network connectors and connecting wires are secure, and whether the wiring terminals inside the control cabinet are secure and reliable.
(3) Regularly check the operation of control units, I/O modules, other modules, etc.
(4) Regularly check whether the grounding is firm and test whether the grounding resistance meets the requirements.
(5) Regularly check the workload of controllers, computers, etc., and pay attention to whether there is any increase.
(6) Regularly check the MMI hard drive and delete fragmented files. Historical files are often archived and backed up by external devices.
(7) Reset the DPU (Distributed Processing Unit) and MMI (Human Machine Interface) of the DCS system one by one during unit maintenance to eliminate accumulated errors caused by long-term computer operation.
(8) For interfaces between DCS system and other systems (such as MIS (Computer Management System) and SIS (Plant level Monitoring Information System), it is recommended to install virus firewalls on the gateway stations on the other system sides and update the virus database in a timely manner. Simultaneously update operating system patches in a timely manner to improve system security.
(9) Regularly check whether the system fan is working properly and whether the air duct is blocked to ensure long-term reliable operation of the system.
(10) When the unit is shut down for major or minor repairs, attention should be paid to checking the battery level of the DPU host card COMS. When there is a situation where COMS data is lost due to a dead COMS battery, the COMS batteries of the motherboard should be replaced in bulk.
(11) Regular inspection habits, regular inspections, and regular cleaning are necessary to ensure that the operating environment of the DCS system is clean and tidy.
